Essays  written  by Van Loon are always eazy to learn but with profound meanings in them,  Tolerance is  one of his most influential writings, it might be deeply rooted  in the heart of the people who possess the belief that freedom is the ultimate object of the human being, or it might enlighten guys who lost their way in miserable forest for many years. No exaggeration, this book may have changed many young people's mind, make them to know that there alway exist a world outside their understanding, and the authority is always there to hinder the further development, what essential for human being is just striding over the boundary setted by themselves.

However, if we feel enlightened and totally accept the ideas from Van Loon,  does it mean we have firmly seized the secret of the world?If we think in this way, we might have blocked our way or might be misleaded some time.Such a funny and elusory world we are living in! Perhaps, no logical rule exists for our understanding on the world and affairs, we pathetic human bings are doomed to live in dilemma.
